In Chanukah, December 2022, the Lauder e-Learning School of Germany organized a week-long winter camp for families. Fifteen families of the e-Learning students enjoyed the opportunity to learn Jewish topics while skiing together and connecting.
In total, 28 adults and 35 children of different ages got to know each other, through learning, fun activities and an inspiring Shabbat atmosphere.
The children were thrilled to finally see their online classmates in person, and many new friendships were born. It was a week of bonding, while exploring and tightening connections to the Jewish tradition.
Towards the end of the trip, saying goodbye was difficult, but the families look forward to seeing each other again at the next event.
The Lauder e-Learning School in Germany is an initiative aimed to support the Jewish communities located across cities in Germany, and enable over 250 children, teens and their parents to attend online classes that delve into Jewish history, customs and traditions.
