Youth Centers & Camps

For these children, summer and winter camps are often their one chance to spend time with other Jews and to learn something about their heritage. This is why we support Jewish camps.

Each summer thousands of children from across Europe travel to the Lauder JOINT International Jewish Youth Camp in Szarvas, Hungary, where they meet other Jewish kids, and learn Jewish history, tradition and rituals. The same is true of the hundreds of Jewish children in Poland, Germany, Belarus and the Ukraine who visit our local camps in those countries.

We also support youth centers in eastern and northern Germany and in Austria, ensuring that children from immigrant families in these countries have a positive environment in which to spend free time and learn about Judaism, to boot!
