This Spring, the Lauder Javne Jewish Community School continued leading it students in Jewish celebration, math, science and technology.
Highlights include the school hosting a round-table discussion on the subjects of technology, innovation, and education. In addition, Lauder Javne students visited a local TV and radio studio, a pre-war Jewish community and learned about its synagogue and Jewish history. Students further observed Holocaust Memorial Day. And Second grade students re-enacted the Jewish Exodus and the Passover Seder.
The Lauder Javne school in Hungary held a joint session with a special needs school program, and hosted both the Magmakamra Art workshop, and a visit from Lauder Javne’s sister school in Croatia.
Other winning achievements include Lauder students winning First Place in a national math competition of 4,500 students, and an award for a photo submission to the National Youth Art competition. Read about these and other stories in the recent edition of the school newsletter.
