Lauder e-Learning School Opens in Berlin
The Lauder e-Learning School team, as well as parents and children of the local Jewish community greeted the visitors, and marked the opening of the Lauder e-learning school. Some guests spent the preceding Shabbat in Berlin, and began making friends with other students of the Lauder Beth Zion School and the Berlin community.
Berlin’s inaugural program included greetings from Joshua Spinner, Vice President & CEO of The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation, and Mrs. Zinner, director of the School. In addition, incoming e-Learning School students saw an engaging sneak preview of an e-Learning session, demonstrating the technologies that they would soon embrace.
Students of the Beth Zion School in Berlin further welcomed the new students with music and songs. During lunch, the Berlin children and parents had lively conversations. The e-learning pupils introduced themselves, and met the teachers of the program. With great excitement, the children received their Google Tablets and cases, along with an explanation of the technical workings.
We are all looking forward to the first classes, which begin immediately after the upcoming Jewish holidays!
