Chanukah Mitzvah Program and e-Learning connect Hungary’s Jewish community.
Lauder Javne’s annual “Awaiting Chanukah Miracles” Mitzvah program brings together Budapest’s Jewish Federation, synagogues and foundations to help those in need. The program grows every year, with nearly one hundred donation packages distributed this year.
Jewish education became more personal with an in-person convention for students in the Lauder e-Learning program, along with their families. The e-Learning program makes it possible for rural and cross-border Jewish youth between the ages of 7-18 to take part in the Jewish studies education of the Lauder Javne School. The curriculum provides a wide spectrum of knowledge related to Jewish tradition, culture and Hebrew, ranging from beginners to advanced. The program runs on a weekly basis online, at a time agreed upon by teachers and students. Learn more about Lauder Hungary e-Learning here.
The Tenth grade at the Lauder Javne School took a field trip to experience Israel. Pictures and videos from the trip will be added to the visual project being created in honor of Israel’s upcoming 70th anniversary.
