Budapest: U.S. & Israeli Ambassadors Visit Lauder School

Committed to developing international perspectives and relationships, the Lauder School of Hungary hosted foreign ambassadors, a delegation of U.S. teachers, and a High School Global Languages fair.
On 15 November, U.S. Ambassador to Hungary Colleen Bell, and Israel’s Ambassador Yossi Amrani, visited the Lauder Javne Jewish Community School. In addition, representatives from Israels Partnership2Gether Kindergarten program visited the school and provided further training to the school’s talented staff. And Lauder Hungary’s Twelth-graders flew to Israel, touring and meeting their sister-school, Sulam Tzor.
Other recent highlights of the Lauder Javne Community School include: Music performances by visually-impaired performers; Theater performances by a special needs company; Mock trials; an educational program promoting an understanding of Hungary’s migrants and their struggles; the inauguration of a Holocaust Memorial garden; a field trip to Israel; Model U.N. debates and more.
