Lauder Javne students visited their counterparts in Istanbul’s Jewish school, and celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation.
The head principal of the Lauder Javne School represented the Hungarian school at the Lauder Foundation’s 30th anniversary celebrations in New York. He presented a brilliant video of the students singing Hatikvah in honor of the special occasion.
Meanwhile, the Lauder Javne Jewish Community school’s seventh and eighth grade students traveled from their home in Budapest to Istanbul, Turkey to connect and learn with children at Istanbul’s Jewish community school.
Recent school highlights include learning about the Jewish holidays occurring in Autumn, and delving into the importance of Democracy and keeping one’s health. Students also kicked off the 18th annual Book Festival.
Finally, the first graders inaugurated the new wing of Lauder Javne School’s Kosher cafeteria!
